Related links are a feature available to Pro users of Metro Publisher. They can be added to content in two ways: manually or automatically by tag.
For manual addition, you click "Add Link" to call up the content selector, filter and select the desired piece of content or enter your own URL. You can add custom link text through the "Link Title Override" field. To delete a link, you select the row and click "Delete Link" button.
For automated related links, you first need to activate the feature in the Beta Features settings. Then, under Content settings, you input the "Related Links Limit" (maximum 10). This determines the maximum number of automated related links that will appear with a piece of content. Once these settings are configured, the automated links will appear on all your content by tag. That means that when you tag an article, for example, Metro Publisher will add related articles with the same tag(s) sorted by issue date. However, you still have the option to add other links manually on any individual piece of content.
Please note that the "Evergreen Content" designation overrides expiration dates and the piece of content overrides the "don't show content older than X months" setting for Related Links.
