Subscription Genius Paywall

Metro Publisher integrates with Subscription Genius' new paywall system to allow you to easily provide paid content. This system is easy to set up and economical to use.

1. Create Subscription Genius Account

To get started, you will need to create an account with Subscription Genius.

2. Active Paywall Javascript in Metro Publisher

Once your account is set up with Subscription Genius, you need to activate the paywall Javascript within Metro Publisher.

1. Log in to your Metro Publisher work site as an Admin and go to Settings > 3rd Party > Subscription Genius.
   
   Check the box labeled "Activate Paywall."

3. Add Website to Subscription Genius Account

Now, go back to your account settings in Subscription Genius.

1. Go to Paywalls > Websites.
2. Click "Add Website."

1. Enter the Name of your website. Make sure to name it something obvious in case you are managing multiple paywalls for multiple websites. 
   
   Then enter the domain (web address) for your website.
   
   
2. Then click "Create Website."
   
    
   

4. Configure Paywall Settings

Now that your website has been added to your Subscription genius account, the final step is to configure the paywall settings.

1. Configure your paywall settings by clicking on the button labeled "Manage Security."
2. Links to Subscription Genius support and how to videos can be found in the upper right corner.

3. You DO NOT need to do anything with this Javascript code here. If you checked the box within Metro Publisher 3rd Party for settings to "activate paywall" as described above, Metro Publisher automatically inserts the Javascript code for you.

Once you click the "Manage Security" link, your browser will open your website in another window. As long as you are currently logged in to your Subscription Genius account, you will see an overlay for managing your security. Here is where you configure your paywall.
