NOTES FOR June 2, 2010 RELEASE
Dear Metro Publisher Clients,
Hello! This newsletter is brought to you by the Support Squad at Metro Publisher. It is our way to keep you on board and in the loop. Your feedback generates the upgrades and fine tuning we would like to present to you here. This month will bring to you features that will allow you to customize your online magazine, even more.
Grand Opening! The Design Studio:
Cue the red carpet . . . or perhaps a drum roll on your desk will do for today. Your own Design Center has arrived. This new feature allows you to take control of the look and feel of your site. It sounds powerful and you are absolutely right; it is. It enables your design staff to showcase their creativity and awesome talent on your site the way you want. Add customized images, change your logo, adjust the CSS or completely overhaul the look and feel of your site.
NOTE: This is a powerful new tool. Before you use this feature, schedule an appointment with your Metro Publisher account representative to give you a tour.
The Events Calendar Upgraded
The Events Calendar has a brand new look with new features. The calendar has been upgraded to give your readers a current and user friendly update on events.
- Map based Event Search Pages
- New Event Sprocket configuration options
- More structured categories list
- Users can now subscribe to RSS feeds for new events
In addition to finding related location types, users can now overlay upcoming events on location page maps.
Yesterday, you could not create a blank or static page. Today, you can. Responding to popular demand, Metro Publisher has created a new feature in the admin called "Pages." Here, you can add static pages which can be edited with a simple text editor or completely freeform HTML. "Snippets" were your only option, but now you can create "Pages."
NOTE: Before you use this feature, schedule an appointment with your Metro Publisher account representative to give you a tour.
We are very excited to bring you these new features. This release puts you in the driver seat (the speed limit is up to you), and we want you to explore all the tools we supply you. Thank you for your support! We look forward to hearing form you.
